First of all, I have to say 'thank you' to the band for being such good sports about this...they're basically the guinea pigs for this whole project. I'd seen Sonic Angels about a year ago at the now defunct Crown Tap Room. They really impressed me... especially they're 2-song Seeds medley (included here). So I was more than happy to help them out with a place to play in Chicago on their current U.S. tour after one if their dates fell through. After the show I asked them if they wanted to come hang out and record a few tunes at my apartment. Plans were made and the band came over a few days later on their way back through the city. After a case of beer and a couple Dante's pizzas the deed was done. I apologized to my downstairs neighbors for the late weeknight noise, but I think it was worth it.
